Le probl\u00e8me se pose lorsque notre corps est dans un \u00e9tat de stress constant, avec des niveaux de cortisol et d\u2019adr\u00e9naline restant \u00e9lev\u00e9s pendant de longues p\u00e9riodes. Le flot constant de ces hormones peut, alors, entra\u00eener des probl\u00e8mes de digestion, de sommeil, de syst\u00e8me immunitaire et plus encore.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Pendant des \u00e9pisodes de stress chronique ou de stress aigu \u00e9pisodique, le corps ne fonctionne pas de fa\u00e7on \u00e9quilibr\u00e9e. Il a tendance \u00e0 se surmener \u00e0 certains \u00e9gards et est sous-actif \u00e0 d\u2019autres. Le syst\u00e8me cardiaque fait des heures suppl\u00e9mentaires pour se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 la fuite ou au combat pendant que la digestion ralentit, jetant votre corps hors de l\u2019hom\u00e9ostasie et emp\u00eachant les processus normaux de se d\u00e9rouler. Du fait que le syst\u00e8me immunitaire se trouve compromis, le stress peut contribuer \u00e0 la maladie et prolonger les temps de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration une fois malade. Les stress aigu chronique et \u00e9pisodiques sont reli\u00e9s \u00e0 des maladies chroniques comme l\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9, le diab\u00e8te et le cancer.
